7:45ish CST: MSNBC just called Pennsylvania for Hillary which is not suprising since she has enjoyed a healthy lead there for many months. Still, I know that somewhere in her victory speech will be something about this amazing comeback. This is the rule: if you’ve been ahead, and you hang on to win, it’s not called a comeback. It’s called “duh, that was supposed to happen”. But I know “duh” doesn’t look good on tee-shirts or in the text of e-mail fundraising appeals so, way to go, Hillary, for not quite meeting expectations.

Apparently it is quite an insult to be described as bitter about your hometown going to hell in a handbasket. Do people prefer to be patted on the head and called a super fantastic hard working American? I say, stay bitter until things get better.

Can someone please explain this Rocky comparison? I haven’t seen the movie in a really long time but I always thought Rocky had a whole lot working against him at the start but by virtue of his hard work and persistence, he won people over. I’m thinking she’s more like Drago: a political machine built and honed over many years, sacrificing and pushing herself to the limit only to have people in her own backyard start chanting, O-ba-ma towards the end of the match.
