If Sarah Palin launching jibes at Al Gore from the safety of her Facebook page doesn’t scream, “I’m thirteen years old,”  then I don’t know what does.

STILL MAD:  This is just the latest in the downward spiral of what passes for journalism .. take a person who is considered to be knowledgeable on a subject–perhaps even an expert–maybe someone who even won a freaking Noble Prize for his work on it–and make him respond to something a governorship-quitting, blowhole narcissist claims in a book she didn’t even fucking write.  Really?

MADDER: And a debate between Palin and Gore?  Why would he bother?  She doesn’t know anything about this. He knows it, she knows it.  She’s like the kid who copies the back of the book summary into a book report, which uses words she doesnt know, then is outraged when someone calls her out.  People who think she is knowledgeable on this subject are certifiable.  She’s parroting right-wing, tea-bagger talking points and cannot explain a’ one, I promise you.  Honestly, what are the chances she knows what an Oxford-style debate is?  BIG FAT ZERO.  Here’s what it is, by the way.

Boehner, for one, declared that the health care bill is the “greatest threat to freedom that I have seen.” That’s some statement … And at one point during the rally — call it a Bachmannalia — when John Ratzenberger, a.k.a Cliff Clavin from “Cheers,” claimed that the Democrats were turning the United States into a land of European socialism, the audience shouted, “Nazis, Nazis.” No Republican legislator left the stage in protest. Boehner and his fellow GOP leaders should be asked how they feel about mounting a rally that attracted intense hate-mongering.

A couple years ago the husband and I traveled to DC and went on a (very lame) tour of the Capitol.  After two long lines and serious, better-than-airport security, a very nice and informed gentleman took our group to approximately three rooms in the Capitol.  Let me sum up the tour: big statues, big portraits, lots of shuffling.  I guess we should have waited to go tomorrow when Michele Bachmann and her band of merry idiots fan out in the halls of Congress to yell at people.  I’m sure patriotic fantasies of confrontations with members of Congress will dance in their heads tonight but more likely they will be shuffling and mumbling with tourists from the Midwest.   Enjoy the statues.

I watched the Sunday morning talk shows today and within mere seconds of Mike Pence (R, Tool of Indiana) opening his sound hole I let loose a torrent of f-bombs that sent my husband and toddler off to another room.  Oh yeah.  That’s why I don’t watch these anymore. Here’s a great alternative.
