So, I read something like this interview and am reminded how damn complex this issue  and then wonder why anyone would listen to Sarah Palin about anything other than aerial wolf hunting.

in which I think about the BIG speech

To quote my favorite toddler,  “NO WAN TO”  think about the speech anymore.  I’ll watch it and it probably be pretty good.  I’d like the President to tell the republicans to SUCK IT but he won’t.  And that’s probably for the best.

So let me dream about after the speech … they pass a good bill this month and then we get to the part where we look back on all this shit and laugh because health insurance reform made things better–if not perfect.  The part where even the media concedes that congressional republicans exposed themselves as cynical jerksacs willing to lie to win the news cycle rather than do their fucking job.   The part where Glenn Beck has to publicly admit that he is liar/opportunist/asshole and Van Jones gets his job back.   And finally, the part where SARAH PALIN GOES AWAY.  FOREVER.  YES I AM SHOUTING.

-the toll it takes: personal stories (old post, but worth the read)

I’ve called my senators and representatives. Tomorrow I’m busting out the markers and construction paper to make a sign for my front window.  I’m going to write a letter to the editor.  If you want reform too, find a way to make your voice heard.  If you need some good information to share, check these out:
